    The Process

    I am not in the market to build fast cookie-cutter websites for every business imaginable. Instead, I understand your brand, goals, target audience, and get to work.

    Discovery

    Get in touch with me. We will schedule our meeting. We will talk about your website and the goals we want to reach. I will send a proposal and 50% payment is required to move forward.

    Research

    I want your business to grow. I review what we discussed and may send an online questionnaire (homework) to help me gain more insight. I will research your top competitors online to find ways to differentiate your business from theirs.

    Design

    This is where the magic happens. Based on conversation and research, I design all aspects of your site. I’ll have fun working out fonts, colors, content and function. Because we’ve laid solid groundwork, the website should be right on target.

    Launch

    After any visual and content edits, I test the site design on desktop and mobile, and in different browsers. I then complete the on-page SEO optimizations. The final payment is made and your site goes online!

    FAQs

    Why an annual fee?

    It’s similar to having a phone number, voicemal and service. Website domains, email, and hosting have fees because of maintaining and operating the servers that store and deliver the website and email which require resources, including bandwidth, storage, security, and infrastructure, all of which incur expenses.

    If the site has more interactive features like forms, newsletters, scheduling, payment gateways, those run through software that has a subscription to work each year.

    The posted annual fees are the lowest I could arrange for the basic necessities. The fee increases with add-ons that involve subscriptions. What ever your custom package includes, you will be locked-in at the annual contracted fee for the next two years. After year three, the fees may rise due to normal inflation from the providers.

    What is SSL and why is it required?

    Without it, the website won’t be seen. SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a security protocol that encrypts and authenticates internet communications, ensuring a secure connection between the web browser server. While SSL is the older term, the modern and more secure protocol that my sites use is TLS (Transport Layer Security), but the term “SSL” is still commonly used.

    What is SEO

    In basic terms, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of improving a website’s visibility and ranking in search engine results like Google, so people can easily find your site when searching for relevant topics. All of my websites include on-page SEO.

    Why are package prices so low?

    I love design! Also, the base pricing you see is if the client provides the content. Sometimes clients already have a logo, slogan, the words and pictures they’d like on their site. I may tweak the wording, I always make the layout visually appealing and functional to fit the business’s vibe. Don’t worry if you don’t have everything or don’t know what you should have. After an initial meeting, we will determine what’s needed and I will give you a fair quote on your website project.

    I want a website! How does this work?

    We will meet to determine: 

    1. the features your website should have,
    2. it’s content (visuals and words), and
    3. the look and feel for the site (do you have branding?).

    I draft a contract for us to sign. You provide a deposit, your logo, any pictures and/or videos, and copy (words). No worries if you need help. I can provide visuals or copy at an added fee. I secure a domain name or gain me access to one you may have already. I design and produce a website that looks terrific, meeting your wants and needs. You’ll be sent a link to see the working draft for me to edit and revise if need be. If the site includes a blog/news section, I will train you how to add updates to that portion of the site on your own. If you have a custom email address, I will configure it on your device/s. Upon completion of the site, the remainder of the fee is due before the site goes live. There will be yearly fees to keep it running and hold the domain name and any email account.
